MG ALBA, in partnership with the BBC, operates and manages the Gaelic Digital Channel, BBC ALBA. The channel, launched in 2008, created a historic landmark in both the Gaelic language and public service broadcasting in Scotland. At present BBC ALBA is the only multi-genre channel in the UK being made in, and broadcasting from, Scotland.
MG ALBA has two facilities: Studio Fàs on the Isle of Skye and Studio MG ALBA on the Isle of Lewis. Both are fully equipped to broadcast standard and are available to hire for radio and television production and for training.
